Palm Lake Resort signs exclusive deal for residents’ health and wellness

Palm Lake Resort Cooroy-Noosa residents will be among the first in the Southern Hemisphere to experience the health benefits of one of the most technologically advanced electronic fitness training systems in the world.

Positioning Palm Lake Resort Cooroy-Noosa as the stand-out market leader in luxury health and wellness lifestyle resorts, Palm Lake Group has this month signed a multi-year deal with ‘milon’ to become the German brand’s exclusive client in the retirement sector in Australia. The milon strength and endurance circuit will be the centerpiece of Palm Lake Resort Cooroy-Noosa’s opulent Recreational and Wellness Centre, to be unveiled at the resort’s official opening on November 26.

The milon system consists of 12 separate electronically controlled strength

and cardio machines. Residents will simply insert their personalised smart card into each piece of equipment as they progress around the milon circuit and the card will instantly and automatically adjust the equipment to each user’s individual anatomy and training program requirement.

Training is straightforward, safe and effective. Residents will be encouraged to complete the 17.5-minute circuit three times per week for a balanced, total body training regime. Their workout information and statistics are collected by cloud-based software so residents can track their health improvements online and the information can also be analysed by the resort’s PT and residents’ healthcare providers, if required.

Palm Lake Group CEO Manuel Lang says he is very excited about the exclusive multi-year deal with milon, ensuring Palm Lake Resort stays at the forefront of health and wellness for its residents.

“Palm Lake Resort’s significant investment in this unique and advanced wellness technology is in line with our ongoing commitment to care and ensuring that all Palm Lake Resort residents have the ability to live life to the fullest,” he says.

Mr Lang says the high-tech milon circuit will be installed in all new Palm Lake Resorts as well as retro-fitted to selected existing resorts.

The unique smart-card operated milon equipment is manufactured in Germany under the strictest requirements for quality and precision. The German brand itself dates back to the late 1960s and is credited with the invention of the first automatic tennis ball-serving machine.

As well as the milon strength and endurance circuit, Palm Lake Resort Cooroy-Noosa’s luxury clubhouse will feature a two-lane ten pin bowling alley, indoor and outdoor lounges, movie cinema, commercial kitchen, dining room, café area, dance floor, stage, art and craft room, library, billiard tables, games area, bar, outdoor barbecue and entertaining areas. Greater resort facilities include a tropical resort-style swimming pool and spa, indoor heated lap pool and spa, sauna, tennis court, golf simulator, covered eight-rink lawn bowling green, hair salon and workshop.

When complete, Palm Lake Resort Cooroy-Noosa will offer 220 architecturally designed two-bedroom-plus-study homes, some featuring specially designed RV garages and storage for those other ‘toys’ that make the retirement years such an adventure. A $25 million aged care facility will complete the Cooroy development.

The Palm Lake Group is a family-owned company with 40 years’ experience in property development. There are 23 Palm Lake Group locations across the portfolio nationally, including four Palm Lake Care assisted and aged care facilities.
